Tukang masak Queen Elizabeth?

Im not beef lover but sometime I do take it once a while to fullfill my passion towards food. If u ask me what is my fav food, currently I like mushroom and any soup such as taufu soup, glass noodle soup, chicken soup and of course mushroom  soup. Btw, if you looking for power soup, pls visit mamak stall at Jalan Doraisamy near Campbell Complex close to Kg Bharu. Their soup is absolutely marvellous tell yaa...

What about beef? Meetball soup? Yes but I wanna share my experience during cooking workshop at Ben Grocer in Publika Solaris yesterday. The class was conducted by a chef who has an experience cooked for Queen Elizabeth, the British Queen. Yeahh proud of him and im more lucky because he likes to share some tips about beef with us.

Before that, beef is not the first things in my food list and if we refer to food pyramid, beef fall to third place so that we know we should reduce to consume beef in our menu. But up to you fella because our cita rasa is different.
Chef gave us some tips: if you wanna buy meat, pls choose the one that 20% of it is fat. It was suggested if you want to prepare steak. When u deep fried the meat, fatty melted and blend with juicy and yet the flavour of meat is there..another tips is the beef not so dry when u served it in a plate with another dishes like vege etc.
Can you see a broccoli? That was broccolini, a small size broccoli and the taste is quite good as well as the tomato cherry..lovely taste..sweet! And the asparagus and zucchini, all was great vege and high fiber. The yellow zucchini was like labu ayor..sebiji macam rasa labu ayor kome...
Messy was all around..masak la sangat. When he came to check my task, he asked me to try the beef in a frying pan..it was 'rare' and soft..macam 40% masak saja and finally I decided to fry till 'well done'..honestly..it was yummylicous because its my effort..tak peduli orang kata apa..gua masak gua makan.
Some more tips about beef: Kalau beli daging kat market, jangan basuh sebab kata chef daging itu sudah dibersihkan sebelum dipack dan dipasarkan. Kalau basuh, daging akan lebih cepat rosak dan hilang jusnya. Aku dah biasa basuh, kalau tak basuh ni rasa macam tak puas hati..tapi kalau tgk pakcik pakcik butcher kat kg, depa memang tak basuh lepas lapah, terus wrap dengan kertas, bila nak masak baru basuh..mungkin maksud chef tu adalah untuk daging yg dijual di market yg dah elok packagingnya, kalau beli yg dilapah tu eloklah kita basuh kan..
