Deja Vu Ipoh!

Suka tengok burung tu...lepak gila atas wayar letrik..All pic credit to Syam@little-syam.blogspot.com
Everything started with her. She asked me to accompany her during her short trip to Ipoh together with Syamil and Arissa. I definitely can't say no because Ipoh is apart of my life while with KA before. It was like down to memory lane or exactly as Deja Vu! After more than 5 years never visit Ipoh, hmmm a lot of changing even i cant remember the pekan lama Ipoh, the place that i had rojak pasembor with KA and MIL. Past is past rite..it became history and i will face some more 'history' then...
Burps and Giggles ini sangat cool, kedai kopi biasa saja tapi keadaan dan decoration dalam kedai ini sangat mengujakan..kalau u all pergi mesti rasa nak pergi lagi dan lepak lagi situ...
We overnite at Lina's house in Meru Hill Golf Resort and the place is awesome. Lina brought us to kedai kopi (the most happening coolest kedai kopi in town lah rasanya) called Burps and Giggles. When the first i enter the kedai kopi...owhh man i sware you will love the surrounding area..macam kedai kopi kampung but moderate and contemporary style. Guess what i found at Burps and Giggles guys? Canele! Remember that? The kuih where's originally created in Bordeaux. You just imagine i ate canele in a small and simple kedai kopi in pekan lama Ipoh but the kuih was named as kuih yang bakal meletops pada tahun 2013..how advance is Burps and Giggles isn't?
Ini dia Sekeping Kong Heng...cantik sangat butik hotel ini...
At the back of Burps and Giggles is a boutique hotel, Sekeping Kong Heng (Jalan Sultan Yussuf)..you see the white curtain at the second floor? That was Sekeping Kong Heng, butik hotel di bangunan lama and this is not the one under 'Sekeping' punya nama. It run by the same tauke..Sekeping Serendah, Sekeping Tenggiri, Sekeping Retreat, Sekeping Terasek, Sekeping Victoria, Sekeping Seapark bla bla (i think uyou can google it) and it is a real place to symbiosis..eh simbiosis ekkk ..hehe. Being a human like me..i like this place because its so authentic thought.
Kaunter pesanan Burps and Giggles...
We browse at Memory Lane or the famous place, Pasar Karat. Bargain here and there and ended up with i bought a half dozen of cawan lama for RM50. Bolehlah, sangat cantik, motif bunga kangkong warna warni..likes corelle set so sebab tu lah mak cecepat jer terkam cawan tu walaupun ia adalah china porcelin...hati puas! After that we went to buy a craft things and I was 'panic' because we went to kedai kasut actually but then the kedai macam kedai magic, ada banyak barang untuk kraf dan bookbinding yang dijual di situ. Syam of course sudah suka memilih leather dan aku pun macam kena sampuk sebab banyak pvc cecantik ada kat situ. Kedai kasut sempoi jer tapi you name it, you got it. Magic sangat. Sebetulnya ada banyak pic menarik nak letak sini tapi card disc sudah kena attack sama virus. All gone..grrrrr! Ipoh, nak pergi lagi! Sapa orang Ipoh sini? Sila angkat tangan....:)

Akak senang jer, life goes on..past is past and i can’t change..but in future..yesss meh kita buat yang terbaik kan..

      Jom dok Ipoh..heaven ooo

  5. I was in Tronoh way-back in 1992 until 1996. The nearest town for outing is BatuGajah, else Ipoh. Normally, when we headed for Ipoh, we took afternoon bus, we strolled at the Kinta - you know-la, men don't buy much. Finally, to the Ipoh RailwayStation for ox-tail soup.

    2. LW,

Personally, saya lebih suka Taiping compared to Ipoh. Taiping sgt mendamaikan, masih byk hutan hijau dan suasana alam semulajadi yg tenang. Sesuai utk pensioners & nature lovers.

Ipoh lately, dah mula congested dan brg2 keperluan pun ikut harga bandar2 besar mcm KL. Travel naik train reramai mesti gempak dan kecoh. Boleh bayangkan the excitement. Have fun uols!

    3. Eliza,
To be honest, Taiping is always in my heart. While with KA dulu, kami plan nak duduk
Kamunting sebab dah beli tanah belakang sekolah Tamil dekat dengan rel keretapi sebab dia suka tengok dan naik train. Tapi ye lah kan...we plan but HE rules...so everything ruin and gone with the wind.

    4. LW,

Saya lahir di Ipoh, tpt tinggal kat sipi-sipi jer. Not exactly town area (ulu giteww..):)

Area Kamunting, Bkt Jana Golf Club dlm tangan saya meh! haha..I truly loved that place...
